Programs for Teachers & Educators
The Met hosts a number of professional development programs and receptions for educators each year. Teachers have benefited from participation in VTS Teacher Training programs, which help educators to teach visual literacy in their classrooms. For more information about scheduling a VTS Teacher Training at your school, please contact Teresa Espana at teresae@fresnomet.org. The Met also hosts two Educator Receptions each year that allow teachers to visit the Museum and learn what opportunities the Met has to offer students and teachers alike. To be added to our mailing list, please send your name, address, school, grade, phone number and e-mail address to annw@fresnomet.org. The Fresno Metropolitan Museum, in partnership with the Reveas Foundation and Fresno County Office of Education, is pleased to announce a competitive mini-grant program in science. »
The Met surveyed hundreds of teachers to learn how to better serve their needs during the renovation of the Museum building. The Fresno Metropolitan Museum offers fun Art and Science activities for students that can be done at home or in the classroom. »
