The Met hosts a number of professional development programs and receptions for educators each year. Teachers have benefited from participation in VTS Teacher Training programs, which help educators to teach visual literacy in their classrooms. The Met also hosts two Educator Receptions each year that allow teachers to visit the Museum and learn what opportunities the Met has to offer students and teachers alike.
