The Met’s Docent Education Series is a series of free lectures and presentations geared toward educating our docents as well as members of the public about topics related to art, science and current and upcoming Met exhibitions. The lectures are open to the public free of charge.
Una began her teaching career in her home country of Latvia. Since the mid 1990s, she has taught ceramics at a variety of colleges including San Jose State, New Mexico State University and Foothill College in Los Altos, California. Ms. Mjurka will present a slide show and lecture about her work in ceramics including techniques and influences utilized in her creations. She will also provide us with a short demonstration of her work.
Free parking is available in Lot B ( March 31st is a holiday for the university) close to the Conley Art Building. All are welcome to attend. For further information, please call the Met’s Education Department at 441-1444, ext. 224.
