Art by Helping Hands - Scandinavian Middle School's Finest Support the Met
Children across the county used their change - nickels, dimes, pennies - to make a change and help the Met reach its fundraising goals as we approach our reopening in 2008. The students and staff of Scandinavian Middle School went above and beyond in their work to build our Museum's future. With no prompting from the Met, they developed unique ways to raise awareness, and some of their extraordinary work is on view here in this special online student art exhibition. Also included below are the lyrics to the "Helping Hands" Rap written by Officer Anthony Dixon and students Leonardo Balero and Richard Kennedy. Special thanks to the Faculty and Staff, especially Lorna Jacoby and Officer Anthony Dixon from Scandinavian Middle School for their help in building our future - not just through Museum donations, but through building the minds of our Valley's youth. Art on view is by Karen Chansombat, Pang Khang, True Lor, Emiliano Terriquez, Kevin Vang, Mai See Xiong and Simon Yang.
